Showcased latest innovations in HP Workstations to content creators and broadcasters, providing best-in-class computing solutions
As the media and entertainment industry continues to evolve, with higher expectations from the audiences around the world, the demand for more realism, better stories, inspired creativity, higher resolutions, and tighter deadlines increases. This week at NAB, HP Inc. once again demonstrated its commitment to the media and entertainment industry with award winning and groundbreaking innovations – the innovations that make Z Workstations THE tool that professionals use to create the best in their field, to achieve what others once thought impossible.
Continuously pushing the boundaries of possibility is how HP helps customers reinvent new frontiers. The newly announcedHP Z1 All-in-One Workstation and the Apple® Mac® OS X Receiver for HP Remote Graphics Software (RGS) blew the lid off of the possibilities box this week.
Built for demanding users, the third generation HP Z1 (G3) Workstation combines the simplicity of an All-in-One design with performance typically found in traditional towers. The new smaller, thinner and lighter form factor delivers screaming performance at a great value.
- 47 percent smaller, 51 percent lighter and 21 percent less expensive than the previous generation
- 23.6” diagonal anti-glare UHD 4K display for the ultimate in visual clarity when working on graphic intensive projects
- Intel® Xeon® processor options for powerful workstation-class processing technology for the most demanding applications
At the Creative Pro User Group Network’s SuperMeet 2016 at NAB, HP showcased how it is upgrading the Mac with its HP Remote Graphic Software Apple® Mac® OS X Receiver, which allows users to remotely, and securely, compute across workstations, allowing for real-time collaboration. The new receiver is designed to give Mac users access to their high-end HP Z Workstations. RGS allows engineers, animators and scientists to securely use all the performance, files and applications on their HP Workstation, even when they are away from that workstation.
Following the RGS demonstration, Oscar and Emmy award-winning VFX Supervisor for the The Jungle Book, Rob Legato talked about his work on the film, using powerful HP Z Workstations. Click here to view Rob’s talk at SuperMeet 2016.
HP also showcased its Z Family of products at ShowStoppers, NAB’s Studio Xperience, Avid Connect and at over 20 partner and customer booths. HP, AMD, Rob Legato and The Foundry were all featured in interviews by Waskul.TV in the Studio Xperience.
