FOSS4G North America is the premier open geospatial technology and business conference where technologists, end-users and decision makers convene to share how open source software is becoming a part of their business and their geospatial stack.
Kudos to the event organizing committee and ALL the volunteers (image below) associated with FOSS4GNA for pulling off an absolutely awesome event. The week consisted of pre-event training and workshops, an amazing selection of speaker sessions and keynotes, a simply beautiful venue, and pretty much all the food, coffee, ice-cream, and beer that we could ask for – from start to finish, FOSS4GNA was awesome!
This year’s conference was a collaborative effort involving OSGeo, OSGeo-US and the San Diego Local Organizing Committee as well as academic and government partners.
The event featured pre-conference workshops (post-conference too!) and 2 full days of presentations, networking, and lots of great food (and beer!). GISuser was pleased to have participated as a media partner and Glenn was gladly in attendance this year to mingle with the GeoGeeks. While he was there he snapped loads of pictures when he had time. Enjoy some of the sights from FOSS4GNA. Oh, and take note, the Global FOSS4G event will take place next summer, Aug. 24-28, 2020 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada – great to have this awesome event back in North America!
